Investments through EU funding
On 03.02.2023, FRUKTALINA ltd started implementation of a project approved under Procedure BG06RDNP001-4.012 by selecting project proposals under sub-measure 4.1 "Investments in agricultural holdings" of measure 4 "Investments in tangible assets" from the Program for development of rural areas for the period 2014-2020.
Through the project, FRUKTALINA ltd will invest in a photovoltaic system with a capacity of 120 kWp, which will be built on the roof of an existing building for sorting, packaging and storage of agricultural produce and will cover the company's own electricity supply needs. In order to improve the type of production and enter new markets, investments will be made in refrigeration equipment and a high-performance cherry sorting line.
The activities included in the project will have a lasting positive impact on the activities of the producer group members. It is through investments with joint efforts that it is possible to improve the quality of the manufactured products and enter new markets. The automation of the processes in the enterprise will lead to a significant improvement of the working conditions in the company. Environmental protection will also increase by building a photovoltaic system for own needs. The investment will allow for a significant reduction in electricity costs, but at the same time will reduce to a minimum the electricity consumption by the electricity distribution company for the region. This will also indirectly lead to lower levels of carbon emissions from the reduced use of conventional sources of electricity.
The total value of the project is BGN 1,955,483.40, and the subsidy under the BFP Contract No. BG06RDNP001-4.012-1643-C01, concluded between FRUKTALINA ltd and DF "Agriculture" is in the amount of BGN 977,741.70.
From 03.06.2024, the group of producers "FRUKTALINA" OOD started the implementation of Contract No. BG-RRP-6.006-0025-C01 for grant aid under procedure BG-RRP-6.006 "Centers for preparation for marketing and storage of fruits and vegetables" under the National Recovery and Sustainability Plan. The project implementation period is until 30.06.2025.
The total investment value is BGN 2,346,000.00, with the amount of grant aid being 50% or BGN 1,173,000.00. Funding is from the European Union - NextGenerationEU.
The present project proposal is aimed at improving the marketing appearance of the production of the group of fruit producers Fruktalina OOD. Through the new investments, the company will acquire technological solutions that can satisfy the market demands of large chains and provide the opportunity to sell increasingly large quantities of fruits with high market potential on the Bulgarian market and for export.
Investments are planned in an installation for intensive shock cooling of fruits and an automated line for packaging blueberries.
The purchase of new automated assets for processing fresh fruit production contributes to the economic sustainability of the company and the development of all its members.
